Outside Sales Representative,Continental Research Corporation-Charleston


  • You will cold call with targeted industrial contacts [ie Maintenance Manager, Superintendent, ect.)
  • You will develop a daily plan and execute a marketing strategy for designated territory
  • You will conduct structured sales presentations to existing and potential clients, including engaging demonstrations of specialty chemicals, and closing on every visit
  • You will maintain contact with current clients to strengthen relationships and increase sales
  • You will ensure follow-up and response to customer needs in a timely manner
  • You will communicate with corporate contacts to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery
  • You will work with sales managers to implement growth strategies
  • You will utilize a CRM sales tool to handle accounts, maintain call logs and contact info, run reports, etc.


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred OR 2-4 Year Degree OR equivalent outside sales experience
  • 3+ years Sales Experience (outside sales, retail sales management, or other relevant sales)
  • High energy and ambitious, with a “hunter” spirit
  • Some Business to Business Sales Experience
  • Consistent track record of success both personal and professional
  • Some technical knowledge (comfortable using contact management software and/or MS Office)
  • Industrial or Chemical sales experience a plus, but not required
