Charleston, WV – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) today hosted U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman for a virtual information session on the SBA’s new Restaurant Revitalization Fund. Senator Manchin’s office co-hosted the events with the West Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association, the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and the WV District Office of the SBA.

“West Virginia small businesses are the heart of our communities and ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed as our economy continues to rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic is one of my highest priorities,” said Senator Manchin. “It was an honor to host Administrator Guzman during today’s information session so she should share her expertise with some of our budding small businesses. I look forward to continuing to work with Administrator Guzman, West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, West Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association and others to ensure every West Virginia business succeeds.”

Restaurant owners interested in applying to the program should visit sba.gov/restaurants or call 1-844-279-8898 for sample application, program guide, and more. The application window will remain open until RRF funds have been fully exhausted.

“We greatly appreciate the efforts of Senator Manchin, Administrator Guzman and the WV District Office of the SBA for their time, resources, and information they shared today, which will certainly help West Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association members navigate the new Restaurant Revitalization Fund and other vital federal relief programs," said Richie Heath, Executive Director of West Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association. "Since the start of the pandemic, Senator Manchin and the WV District Office of the SBA have been willing partners with our industry in helping assist West Virginia’s business owners in navigating the assistance programs that have been critical to keeping restaurant doors open.  The West Virginia Hospitality and Travel Association looks forward to working with Senator Manchin, the SBA, and others to provide key relief, support, and opportunities to our restaurant, hotel, and travel attraction members who have been greatly impacted by the pandemic."
