Manchin and Capito Announce $2.4 Million For West Virginia Healthcare Services

Washington, D.C. – Today U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will award $2,485,925 to the Cabin Creek Health Center, Inc., Lincoln County Primary Care Center, Wirt County Health Services Association, Inc. and Womencare, Inc. This funding will support these organizations and their efforts to expand comprehensive health services and coordinate care among patients. It will also fund behavioral health services for families in West Virginia and support primary care medical services in Wirt and Lincoln Counties.

“This funding is great news for families in Wirt and Lincoln Counties, Cabin Creek and Scott Depot,” Senator Manchin said. “Ensuring every West Virginian has access to quality healthcare has always been one of my top priorities and I will continue to advocate for organizations seeking to improve and expand healthcare services across our state, especially in our rural communities.”
