Manchin and Capito Announce More Than $2.3 Million in Grant Funding for Transportation Programs

Washington D.C. – Today U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) announced $2,343,032 in funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation for West Virginia transportation programs.

“The roads and bridges that connect West Virginians are vital to ensure the success of our state’s commerce and economy,” Senator Manchin said. “This funding will enable communities across the state to grow businesses, more easily travel to see family members and explore all the wonders West Virginia has to offer. I look forward to the improvements in our state’s infrastructure that come from these grant dollars.”

“West Virginians rely heavily on our roads, bridges and highways,” said Senator Capito. “This funding will support infrastructure maintenance throughout the state, which will ultimately help grow our economy, help West Virginians and visitors access hard-to-reach areas, and make it easier to transport necessary goods and services.”
