Manchin Announces $1 Million To Help West Virginians Enroll In The Affordable Care Act

Charleston, WV – Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced $1,000,000 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to West Virginia First Choice Services. This funding will help West Virginians understand their health insurance plan options and enroll in healthcare through the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

“The Affordable Care Act provides quality, affordable healthcare to West Virginians and offers families choices so they can find a plan that works best for them. I am pleased HHS is investing in West Virginia First Choice Services to help West Virginians understand the different health insurance options available through the Marketplace and enroll in the ACA. First Choice Services works with community partners across the state and will assist West Virginians struggling with mental health or substance use disorders, those living in rural communities, as well as other West Virginians without health insurance. This funding is great news for the Mountain State, and I will continue fighting to ensure every West Virginian has access to quality, affordable healthcare,” said Senator Manchin.
