Manchin Family Wishes All West Virginians a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today issued the following statement wishing all West Virginians a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

“On behalf of my wife Gayle and the entire Manchin family, I would like to wish all West Virginians and Americans a very merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.

“There is no time like the holidays to celebrate the love of families and friends and reflect on our countless blessings. I have always said that if you can count your blessings, you can share your blessings. During this most spiritual time, each and every one of us should share our blessings by helping those in need.

“As you come together with your families, remember that we would not be able to enjoy our blessings without the brave men and women who have served and who continue to serve our country. Many of our dedicated service members will not be celebrating Christmas with their loved ones this year because they are serving our great nation, both at home and abroad. Not just during the holidays, but every day of the year, let us keep them and their families in our prayers and our hearts.

“Again, Gayle and I wish you all a merry Christmas and we pray that each of you enjoy the holidays filled with hope, peace and joy. With the start of a New Year, let us all recommit to building a future of freedom and prosperity for ourselves, our families, our communities and our country. May God watch over and bless us all and may God continue to bless America, and the great state of West Virginia.”
