Manchin Statement on 15th Anniversary of September 11

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) today issued the following statement on the fifteenth anniversary of September 11th.

“Each and every one of us can remember exactly where we were when we first learned that our country was under attack fifteen years ago. It was a tragic day, not just in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania, but in the hearts and minds of all Americans who shared in the collective grief of our nation. But as we grieved, the great strength and character of our first responders, and service men and women reminded us all why the United States of America is the greatest nation on Earth. On this fifteenth anniversary of September 11, 2001, I urge you to honor the victims, survivors and families affected by 9/11 by remembering the pride we feel in this nation, the love of our freedoms and our way of life that unite us.”
