MANCHIN STATEMENT ON ACCIDENT AT WEST POINT
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) today released the following statement on the accident today during the Cadet Summer Training at West Point.
“Gayle and I are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic accident that occurred today at West Point that has resulted in the death of a cadet and the injury of 21 others. We are always grateful for the sacrifices our military members make to defend us, and this patriot paid the ultimate sacrifice for our safety today. The cadet’s family, friends, and loved ones will remain in our prayers and we hold them in our thoughts and hearts during this difficult time.”
