Manchin Statement on Supreme Court Protests in West Virginia

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) released the following statement on Supreme Court protests in West Virginia.

"Right now, I am listening to West Virginians and getting input from all sides on the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. I take the feedback I get seriously and will use it to make the best decision I can for the people of our state. I would not be representing the people of West Virginia responsibly if I blindly supported or opposed a nominee right after they were announced. This nomination is bigger than partisan politics, and deserves the careful consideration a Supreme Court vacancy requires of it.”

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) is asking West Virginians to send their thoughts and concerns on Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to SCOTUS@Manchin.Senate.Gov or through his website.
