Manchin Wishes West Virginians a Merry Christmas

Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) released the following statement wishing West Virginians a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

“Gayle and I, along with the entire Manchin family, would like to wish all West Virginians, Americans, and our brave service men and women a Merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.

“This holiday season, it is important to celebrate our many blessings – especially the love of our families and friends. It is also a time to remember the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. Their sacrifices allow us to enjoy these blessings this holiday season. Let us keep them and their families in our hearts and prayers, not just during the holidays, but each day.

“I’ve always said ‘if you can count your blessings, you can share your blessings.’ We are all so blessed to enjoy their opportunities of this great nation. That is why, during this spiritual season, I encourage every West Virginian to share their blessings and generosity with those who may need a helping hand.

“Again, Gayle and I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with hope, peace, and joy. As we look forward to 2018, let us all recommit ourselves to working toward the common goal of building a positive future for ourselves, our children, and our communities across this great nation. May God bless us all and may God continue to bless America and the great state of West Virginia.”
