Saturday: Manchin to Kick-Off Weeklong Tour of W.Va. with Celebration of Memorial Day

Manchin focusing on honoring our veterans, helping small businesses and improving the quality of life for our seniors

Washington, D.C. — Beginning Saturday, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) will launch a week-long statewide tour focused on honoring our veterans, helping small businesses and improving the quality of life for our seniors.

“I'm looking forward to spending several days in our state meeting our veterans, visiting senior centers and talking to small business owners about how to kick-start our economy,” Senator Manchin said. “I truly look forward to these state work periods where I can tour our great state. It is so important to me to get a chance to talk to West Virginians, hear their feedback and discuss how we can bring people together to rebuild America. I invite you to join me at any of these events, and please check our web site for more events.”

Senator Manchin will continue the work week by attending a dedication ceremony at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, speaking with seniors in Beckley about the importance of reauthorizing the Older Americans Act, and meeting small business owners at the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner to discuss how small businesses are the engine of our economy.
