Manchin Statement on the Passing of Oce Smith

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) today issued the following statement on the passing of Oce Smith, former Sergeant-At-Arms for the West Virginia House of Delegates.

“Oce Smith was a trusted, dear friend not only to me, but to all who had the pleasure of knowing him throughout his four and a half decades of public service. Oce became a life-long friend to all members of the House of Delegates and he will truly be missed throughout West Virginia. Gayle and I join all West Virginians in keeping his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers.”
